Western Australia here I come!!!!!!!!

Flying out tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!! Heading off to Miss Julie's today and spending the night with her and then heading to Brisbane tomorrow morning to catch our flight at midday!!! Woo Hoo!!!!! Very very very excited and trying to do all the last minute things here at home. DH And DS are also heading off on Thursday to go fishing in the NT! So you can imagine the chaos around here trying to pack and sort things out. I am limiting the amount of scapping supplies that I take..........hehehehe (I can bring more home with me!!) Can't wait to meet everyone and have a break from all the everyday stuff around here. I am going to miss our baby boy!!!! I am so lucky as a Grandmother to be able to see him everyday.........I am very spoilt! Finished a couple of LO's of him on the weekend (surprise surprise) Here they are. See you all in just over a week. We are stopping over in Adelaide for a couple of days on the way home and catching up with Leonie and Kathryn!!

Question???

Why is it that some people have such interesting blogs and others...like mine.....are just ordinary, run of the mill, everyday blah???? I have been cruising around the land of blogs for the last week or so and I am astounded by the way some people can express themselves so well and make the most mundane things sound like "Heaven on Earth". Is it just a clever way with words or does taking the kids to the doctor get you giggling???? Some people can make me laugh by just reading their opening sentence.............God how I wish I could do that!!!! Not that I am out to be the Blog Queen of laughter, but I would like to think that there are some people out there that might look forward to reading about my everyday happenings and feel good after it!!! OMG that sounds like it should have been in a 'porno mag'. But you know what I mean don't you? There are just some great blogs out there that are so entertaining that I can't wait to go back and read the next instalment! Maybe I should just strive to improve and hopefully I can bring just a small smile to someones face and they might even have a little giggle later in the day when they think about reading my blog...........LOL!! That is just so lame isn't it???? It's such a sad thing to think that my blog is just one little speck out there in cyber space and who really wants to read it anyway!!!! Personally I think.......and I think too much..........it is just a great place to vent my thoughts and hopes and dreams and if no one else reads it then it is not really going to change the course of my life!!
Read on people and turn that frown upside down and put a smile on your dial!!!!!!

Now that I have go all that out of the way..........can't believe I just wrote all that!!!! Don't worry luvs it's just the weather............so stinking hot here today and I have to go back to work tomorrow after two weeks holiday!!!!! I shouldn't complain too much.............one day of work, then off to Brisvegas on the BOOB BUS and then half a day of work on Thursday and then I have two weeks off again!!! PERTH here I come!!! Had lunch with Julie last week and sounds like the girls have worked out exactly how we are going to be entertained while we are there...........I just can't wait. HOw many more sleeps is it??????
I made my Secret Santa pressie for CPC today...........can't post a piccie yet cause then it wouldn't be a secret!!!!!

CPC October Kit

Here are my LO's for the October kit at Country Papercraft..............wow!! Loved this kit. The PP's are from Melissa Francis. I'm really happy with how they turned out as I have probably only ever done 4 or 5 double pagers!!!!! EVER!!! I had these photos of my wonderful Grandma when we took the babies to visit her one morning. Grandma has Alzheimers and I don't really think she knew whose babies they were but she didn't care. She just cuddled and kissed them and incredibly Matthew responded so beautifully to her. He touched her and cuddled her too. Isabella stayed asleep and was so content while Grandma rocked her and kissed her forehead. It was so beautiful to watch.

Anyway............get on over to CPC and check out the rest of the LO's the Design Team came up with this month......SUPER!!!

Only 14 more sleeps and we head off to WA..............I'm starting to panic, I don't have a clue on what to pack (clothing and scrap supplies!)
Just found a new place to visit.............The wonderful Tess has a blogspot called Scrap the Stuff. Great little place for inspirational LO's and challenges. Check it out using my link on the side.
Another lovely lady named Joyce also has a blog called Inspire Me. Lots of inspiration here too!

Holidays!!!

Woo Hoo I am on holidays for 2 whole weeks! Holidays are extra good for me now as I don't have any kids home from school anymore!!!! Suckers!!! Although I will be looking after DGS Matthew for a few days, but that is so much fun. Today I plan to finish off my double LO I am doing for CPC's October designer kit!! and then............tidy up my scrap room. I thought about taking a photo, but I couldn't put you through the horror of it all!!! Yes it is that bad!!! They say that messy people are creative but I think my room is really pushing it!! I've done a few more LO's of Matthew (surprise surprise) and have been experimenting a bit.........quite happy with how they have turned out.

Next week Colleen and I plan to get together and make our SS gifts for the swap at CPC and a couple of other little surprises (RAK's) soI have to start planning that while Colleen is away AGAIN this week. OOHHH OOHH and only 3 more weeks before the wonderful Julie H and I fly out to Western Australia!!!!!! Our flights are booked so there is no going back now. I am so excited about the whole trip. So many people to meet and so much too see. We are stopping over in Adelaide for a couple of days on the way home as well.

CPC have a year long challenge coming up in November........52 peices of ME. It is a mini album, one LO per week about yourself. The girls have come up with categories and extra little challenges along the way. I haven't worked out what format I will be doing as yet. Have a look at some of the examples that some of the girls have uploaded they are fantastic!!

That's our Boy!!

Here is a pic of our second son Liam who played in the Sunshine Coast Rugby League A - Grade Grand Final last Sunday. Liam plays for Noosa and they defeated Nambour 44 - 18. This was the first Grand Final I have been to since Liam started playing for Noosa. We had such a great day and we were very proud. Liam scored two tries, but one was disallowed (they said he dropped it over the line, but he claims differently LOL) It was a bit of an eye opener sitting in the crowd to hear how much people dislike the Noosa Team (they called them silvertails) I just wanted to yell out and say "my boy is just a country kid from Murgon, nothing "silvertailed" about him!! But some people get so carried away with sport! You did good son!!!!

My week...........have had a wonderful bout of bacterial conjuctivitis all week....charming ailment I must say!!! The only plus is that I only worked one day this week! Also finished our last week of the scrapbook journey over at CPC, what a wonderful 8 weeks that has been. A special big thank you to my partner Lee.........you go girl!!!!! I am also on holidays now for 2 weeks, so hope to get lots of scrapping done.

Memories

Had a blast from the past this week working on Challenge 5 in the Amazing Scrapbooking Journey over at Country Paper Craft. We had to scrap a building that had some significance in our lives. After numerous emails back and forth with Lee, we both realised that the houses that we both lived in when we were first married were cottages on our farms. So I scrapped "The Shack" and Lee did "The Cottage". Our little home was originally the Dairy on my family farm and we converted it into a 4 room little flat. It was very special and we lived there for the first 5 years of our marriage. Kimberley and Michael were both born while we lived there and after we moved, my sister and her DH lived there as well. In later years my Grandmother lived there to be close to my Mum.

In other news, we have signed a contract to sell our farm block and I have now confirmed that I am going to Perth (Bruce Rock actually) in October to the CPC Retreat!!!!! I am so excited as I have never been to WA before and I also get to travel with JULIE .H!!!! Going to have a blast I am sure!! DH is actually leaving a couple days after me and going to the NT on a fishing trip.

SE Qld has certainly broke many records in the rain department this week, but unfortunately we didn't get anything of any substance here in the South Burnett. Here's hoping for some more soon. The boys at Noosa are still flooded in where they live so it could be a while before they get back to work. Here's my LO of "The Shack"

Using Transparencies

For the current edition of CPC newsletter, Lee and I posted LO's on using transparencies. This LO is where I have cut out a circle on the bottom left and then replaced it with transparency. I then glued buttons onto the transparency and the cut out I used under the word "blue". I love the colours in this one and am very happy how it has turned out.
Click on the above link and check it out for yourself. I am eagerly awaiting the posty to bring me my September Designers Kit. Can't wait to use the yummy PP's in this one............sssshhh, its a secret!!!

Matthew Turns One!!!

Twelve months have passed so quickly! Matthew turned one today and we all turned up for a BBQ lunch and party to celebrate. Kimberley was so proud of herself.......she made his birthday cake all by herself!! Matthew didn't quite know what all the fuss was about, but he had a ball. He was such a good boy all day, he did have a little sleep in between, but was pretty worn out again by the end of the day. Talk about presents, I have never seen anything like it. There was a comment made that if she had a garage sale and sold them all they could put him through school with the money LOL.

We went back down last night before he went to bed and he had just got his second wind and he put on a performance for us (a good one not naughty) he had us all in stitches!

Dennis went off fishing to Kauri Creek in the afternoon and Liam arrived home later last night from his fishing trip. We are all heading down to Kawana today to watch Liam play. I am so tired I think I'd rather stay home.

The CPC amazing journey is heading into it's 4th week, what a great time we're having. Here's my week 3 entry..........My 10 Favourite Songs. I love putting this together, brought back a lot of memories. I have the lyrics to all the songs under the photo.

It's been a while....

Here's one of the LOs I completed for Country Papercraft's latest newsletter using the gorgeous Doodlebug PP's. These are part of the August Designer Kits.

I have been really slack of late and haven't updated my blog. So here I am, I'm back. Now, what's been happening; On the home front, we are going to be Grandparents for the second time, DD Kimberley broke the news last week. I'm so excited (another scrapping subject) LOL She is due late February and Matthew and the new bub will be just 18 mnths apart. Matthew turns on next Saturday and Kimberley has organised a huge BBQ with just about the whole town invited!!!!! Matthew also took his first couple of steps on Monday and hasn't done it since. We thought he might walk before his first birthday , but not sure now.
The boys are all well and are all together this weekend at Noosa. The boat is finally going and Wink took it down so they could all go fishing.
Me, well I started my weight loss programme this week, so fingers crossed.
ON the scrapping front - have just completed challenge 2 with Country Papercraft's amazing journey. This has been such fun and thanks to my Scissor Sister Lee we are having a ball.

Excitement Plus!!!!!!!

Well what can I say..........more big news on the scrapping front for me!!! I have been offered a full time Design Team position with Country Papercraft!! Marg and Mish (love you two forever) have welcomed me to their team and I can't wait to get started. I'm over the moon about working with them and Deb and the others guest DTers. Lots of friendly people there and they have a wonderful gallery and forum. Come on over and check things out for yourself!!!
Back to work for me this week as well, it is so easy to get used to school holidays. I am working 4 full days this term and I have had a change of classroom as well, which will be a challenge, but one I look forward to. I will be working with years 4,5,6 and 7, great bunch of kids and the teacher who happens to be the Principal is such a fantastic bloke. I still get Wednesdays off to look after Matthew so all is good.
It's only Thursday and I am so tired.........can't have my nanny naps in the afternoon!!!!! Looking forward to doing some scrapping this weekend as Dennis will be going to football without me. I will still be caring for the oldies next door and I can't leave them, so scrapping it is!!!! Here's one of my latest LO's that is featured in Country Papercrafts latest newsletter.........isn't he gorgeous?

Family coming home!!

Our boys are coming home this weekend, so it will be a nice change to have all of us together. Kimberley turns 25 on Saturday and I have to make sure the boys buy her a pressie. She is the mother hen when it comes to their birthdays so if they don't get her something she will crack!!! Of course one has already put it on me.........you go buy something Mum!!!! No chance baby, it's your job!

Going to visit my Grandmother on Sunday morning and taking Matthew and Bella (her two Great Great Grandchildren) for a visit. Grandma has Alzheimers but she has her good days, so we hope Sunday morning will be one of them. She love babies so we hope the visit will cheer her.

It is really cold here this morning, but I made sure the fire was lit last night. I've been walking around the house dressed like an eskimo for 3 days freezing my @#@##$ off, so I demanded that wood be chopped or I was cooking! It worked and I can dress appropriately today LOL.

Major house cleaning must happen today as well. Michael (oldest DS) is bringing his new girlfriend home for the first time and boy did I get some instructions thrown at me over the phone. Make sure the kitchen is tidy and the toilet and bathroom are clean etc etc etc. He even rang Kimberley to make sure she made sure I had everything spic and span!!!!!! Some mothers do hav' em!! Nothing like trying to make a good impression. I had better make an effort LOL.

I'll update on Monday and let you know how things went!!!!!

Have done a few new LO's in the last couple of days........this one of Dennis and Matthew I made with scraps. I traced a chipboard flower and added the buds freehand and then cut it out of CS. Just a simple one, but loved the photo.

I'm on holidays!!

It is so good working for Ed. Qld........I get all the school holidays!! Today is the first of two weeks.......sleeping in, scrapping, visiting friends, shopping, seeing more of Grandson Matthew, more sleeping in!!!!! Did some scrapping over the weekend (didn't really do much else!) I think I will do some more today as it is cold and overcast outside and not the going out sort of weather. Had a good weekend, went to Gympie to watch DS Liam play footy and apart from the cold it was good. He managed to get himself voted "Man of the Match" which was a boost as he has been injured for a number of weeks. Youngest DS Clinton turned 19 on Saturday........my baby is growing up!!! Here's a LO I did of him and his girlfriend.

Some exciting news........

A little bit of "happy dancin'" happening in my house this week..............I am now a Design Team Member for Acacia Paper Craft ( A wholesale scrapping business here in Australia) Spoke to the lovely Nicole yesterday and she gave me a brief rundown on my role as a DT and I can't wait to get started. My LO's and OTP project that I did for them as a Guest Designer have been photographed and ready for use in advertising. I saw a couple of my designs and LO 's in their latest newsletter and it was quite surreal seeing my name accompanying the pictures. This is just another step in my goal to be published more often and have my work out there for others to see. When I learn how to upload pics here in this blog...........soon I hope, I will be able to show you some of my work. OK......... I just worked out how to upload pics!!!! Above are the two LO's I did as a guest designer for Acacia Paper Craft.

Second time lucky!!!

This is my second attempt at creating my own personal blog.........I know, how hard can it be! For some reason I couldn't log on to my google account and.........well who cares. I'm here and lets move on!
Firstly, introductions are neccessary. My name is Sharon Suchoronczak, I am 45 years old and married to Dennis. We have 4 children, 25, 23, 21 and 19. We also have 1 very cute and handsome Grandson who at the moment is just 10 months old. Home is Murgon in SE Queensland Australia. I have lived here all my life and only now am I realizing what a great place it is to live.........funny I should say that, cause I have never lived anywhere else.........born and raised here! Sheltered life............maybe, but I am very happy. We are what people say, 2 hours from everywhere...........2 hours to Sunshine Coast, Bundaberg, Toowoomba, Hervey Bay etc. , and only 3 to Brisbane. This area is fast becoming a very popular tourist region and many people are making the South Burnett their home.

About me...........well I am currently working as a Teacher Aide and have been doing this for the last 17 years. When the kids were at school is was the perfect job (as in hours) they came to school with me and then home again at 3pm. Last year I took a break and worked in LSS (local scrapbook shop) which was great, but now I am back doing what I know best. Talking about scrapbooking.........this is my creative outlet...........I love scrapbooking. You will probably realize this if you keep reading my blogs in the future. I am a member of a few scrapbooking sites here on the web and through these associations I have made many new and wonderful friends. I am in the process of becoming a Design Team member with an Australian wholesale scrapbooking company and all this should become official in the next few days.........very exciting and a wonderful opportunity to get my my work out there for others to see.

What else can I tell you? I love solitude, its when I work best. I'm not anti social, just love being by myself! I love music, not that I can sing or dance or even hum very well, just love the music up loud. I love most music and no particular style, I can listen to most anything.
I am a sensitive quiet person..........cry at the drop of a hat (mostly watching TV......everything is real on TV, LOL) I am the comedy during a TV show for DH and DS. As soon as something even remotely sad comes on, their attention turns to me and my sooky tears. It's just me........

Speaking of DH, together we own a 200hec grazing block for cattle, a car smash repair business and 1 rental home as well as our own home (mind you we don't really own all of these things, the bank does, but we are on our way) Life is a bit hectic, but hopefully will slow down in a few years when some of the debt is gone!!! Sigh! We have been married for 26 years and have weathered lots of ups and downs but nothing major. I suppose it has been relatively easy going, we are different, but soulmates. Isn't that the usual way it happens? We are very happy sharing our lives and love, but we have never let go of our independence, which I think is very important and has kept our bond very strong......lots of respect and communication. It's not always like that, we've had our share and I am usually the communicator and he shuts off. But isn't that typical of a lot of men? Somehow we have managed to have success in our marriage and in this day and age (I'm being very realistic here) that is rare. We have reared 4 great kids who are all different but we are proud of them all. Enough of all this D & M, we are happy!!!

I should get myself away from this computer now and get ready for work
